Additional information:
• This role is Permanent Full-time, 76hrs/fortnight.
• The internal job title for this role is IKEA for Business Key Account Manager
• Hybrid working is supported, 3 days in the office and 2 days from home.
• As our store operates 7 days per week, you must have the availability to work a rotating roster with a mix of day and evening shifts. You will be required to work ad hoc weekends when required.
• Shift times will range from 8:00am – 6:00pm. Team vision ( title) About this work area Team vision (text) As IKEA Business Key Account Manager your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
• Actively contribute to the Selling plan and collaborate with key stakeholders across departments (Digital, CFF, Communications, Sustainability, BNOF, People & Culture) to align goals and maximise business impact.
• Drive the acquisition of new business customers and build long-term relationships with key accounts.
• Continuously develop relationships with major developers, architects, contractors and other stakeholders in construction in order to receive and help shape all major Requests for Proposal (RFPs) for new builds and refurbishments of hotels, apartments, office buildings, government offices and other real estate relevant to local market and IKEA strategy
• Lead the authoring of high quality and timely responses of RFPs, including collaborating with co-workers in Selling, CFF and Home Furnishing & Retail Design (HF&RD) for a comprehensive and competitive bid package of product and services.
• Lead negotiations for pricing and terms of RFPs and key account deals, ensuring successful deal closures and overseeing execution by coordinating across business units to resolve issues.
• Manage the leads pipeline, measure success rates, identify improvement areas, and lead after-sales care to ensure long-term business relationships and customer satisfaction while promoting sustainability initiatives in all offerings. • Possess broad knowledge of sales mechanisms, market trends, and key account management to optimise customer experiences and increase sales conversion across physical and digital touchpoints.
• Apply knowledge of sales activation, cross-selling, up-selling, and leveraging the commercial calendar and associated activities to meet customer needs and enhance business results.
• Stay informed on Group strategies, local market conditions, relevant regulations, and compliance standards, ensuring alignment with commercial offers and service expectations in the local B2B market.
