B2B Sales Director Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership & Market Expansion Define and implement B2B sales strategies aligned with long-term business objectives. Conduct market and competitor analysis to identify opportunities and threats. Develop targeted go-to-market plans by customer segment and vertical. Establish KPIs, sales forecasts, and budget planning to drive growth. Team Building & Leadership Recruit, lead, and mentor a high-performing sales team. Develop training programs to enhance team skills and effectiveness. Set team and individual targets; provide coaching and performance feedback. Build a collaborative and results-oriented sales culture. Sales Execution & Account Management Drive customer acquisition, retention, and satisfaction through strategic client engagement. Manage key accounts and partnerships with a long-term relationship focus. Lead contract negotiations and oversee the entire sales lifecycle from lead to closure. Product & Solution Strategy Collaborate with product management to ensure solutions align with customer needs. Influence product development through market and customer insights. Cross-Functional Collaboration Partner with Marketing, Product, Operations, and Customer Support to deliver seamless customer experiences. Support new product launches and lifecycle management from a sales perspective. Operational Excellence Oversee sales operations including pipeline management, CRM systems, and process improvements. Leverage AI tools and data analytics to drive sales productivity and efficiency. Ensure compliance with legal and contractual requirements; deliver executive-level sales reporting. B2B Sales Director Qualifications: Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or related field. 15+ years of progressive B2B sales leadership experience, ideally in technology, security, or IoT industries. Proven track record of exceeding multimillion-dollar sales targets and scaling sales organizations. Expertise in channel development, strategic partnerships, and sales team management. Proficiency in CRM platforms and analytics tools. Strong strategic, analytical, and communication skills with demonstrated leadership success.
