Danfoss Climate Solutions is looking for a Back-end Developer that is motivated by building and maintaining industry leading digital solutions.

The team has a proven track record of developing and maintaining two significant mobile applications, Ref Tools and Installer App, which are tailored for cooling and heating installers. These applications have garnered more than 350,000 active HVAC installers globally each month (over 1M unique yearly), demonstrating their widespread success and acceptance. Beyond these applications, our efforts have extended to creating a variety of product selection tools. These range from straightforward selectors to sophisticated, application-specific solutions. Moving forward, our focus will shift towards advancing these product selection tools within Danfoss Climate Solutions and exploring several AI initiatives. Leveraging a modular codebase, our applications are designed for cross-platform deployment, setting the stage for future innovation and adaptability.

Job Responsibilities

In this role, you will work both with your individual tasks and responsibilities as well as with contributing to the overall architecture and direction of our digital tools. The position requires a collaborative and flexible approach, as you will be working a lot in cross-functional teams with product owners, developers, external partners and other stakeholders to understand and deliver industry-leading digital solutions. Your skills will be essential in ensuring the smooth integration and enhancement of our data infrastructure as well as developing new and improving existing data products and services related to them.

 

Overall responsibilities:
 

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and provide technical solutions that align with business goals Actively participate in the whole development process, from initial design up to launching the product Be responsible for working with product owners to develop and deliver features Testing your own code, maintaining defined code coverage, and performing smoke testing to ensure high product quality Working within a team of developers to complete proposed initiatives, contributing to application architecture and providing implementation guidance Identifying and eliminating bottlenecks Follow and contribute to agile development processes Contribute to the development of data-driven solutions and applications. Background & Skills

We are looking for a Back-End Developer who has experience in developing and deploying complex back-end systems with an affinity for data engineering (and potentially integrating AI/ML solutions). While formal education is not a requirement, we value a strong understanding of software engineering principles and proven experience in building scalable, high-performance, and reliable back-end architectures. The ideal candidate should be able to think strategically and understand the broader picture of the project. We expect our Mid Back-End Developer to collaborate with the team, contribute to architectural decisions, and mentor junior developers. It is a plus if you have any experience in these areas: Experience in AI/ML engineering & Familiarity with Databricks for data processing and model management.

Key qualifications include:

Production experience in C# and/or Python Full stack or back-end engineering experience, with strong systems fundamentals Experience working with service-oriented architecture and solutions with complex business logic Interested in big data, data engineering and AI/ML Excellent communication skills Ability to test your own code and maintain high product quality Experience working with business stakeholders to understand business requirements and build thoughtful solutions Strong communicator and proficient in English, both verbally and in writing.
