Job Description

The Back Office Medical Assistant Floater will perform quality team-based patient care under the direct supervision of a clinician for both clinical and administrative functions to promote health and wellness in a safe and friendly environment. This role supports clinicians and care management teams in assessing, maintaining chronic disease management, examining, and treating patient populations. The medical assistant floater is responsible for performing all laboratory testing procedures and phlebotomy, including venipuncture, finger sticks, and heel sticks. This floating employee will work in various offices to support either the Medical Assistant role or dedicated lab functions.

Additional Skills & QualificationsHigh school diploma required2 years' experience within clinic/back office healthcare settingMedical Assistant diploma OR Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) OR 3 years' MA experiencePhlebotomy experience requiredAbility to take vitals (manual vitals preferred)Active BLS certification requiredActive driver's license requiredFlexibility to adjust to changing work environmentBilingual (English-Spanish) preferredExperience with TriMed EMR preferredWork EnvironmentThis position is 100% onsite with working hours from Monday to Friday, 4:00pm to 10:30pm, and every other Saturday from 1:00pm to 8:00pm. The role requires floating between multiple locations: Ft. Lauderdale North, Ft. Lauderdale South, Pines, and Hollywood. Permanent opportunity with travel compensation provided. Specific addresses include Pembroke Pines at 400 N. Hiatus Road, Suite 105, Pembroke Pines, FL; Hollywood, FL; Ft. Lauderdale North at 6181 N Federal Hwy, Fort Lauderdale, FL; and Ft. Lauderdale South at 789 S Federal Highway, Fort Lauderdale, FL.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $41288.00 - $51043.00/yr.
