Position Description:

Job Title: Automation Tester with ETL, Python, SQL & DevOps Skills
Experience Level: 4 to 8 years
We are seeking a highly skilled Automation Tester with strong expertise in ETL processes, Python scripting, SQL, and a basic understanding of DevOps practices. This role is critical to ensuring the quality and efficiency of our data integration and automation projects.
Key Responsibilities:

• Automation Testing: Design, develop, and execute automated test scripts for ETL processes using Python and other relevant tools.
• ETL Testing: Validate data transformations, data quality, and data integrity throughout the ETL pipelines.
• SQL Expertise: Write complex SQL queries to verify data correctness and perform thorough back-end testing of databases.
• Python Scripting: Develop and maintain automation scripts using Python to test various data processing and integration workflows.
• DevOps Integration: Collaborate with DevOps teams to integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines and ensure smooth deployment processes.
• Test Planning & Execution: Create detailed test plans, test cases, and test reports. Perform both functional and non-functional testing.
• Defect Tracking: Identify, log, and track defects in collaboration with development teams to ensure timely resolution.
• Collaboration: Work closely with developers, data engineers, and product owners to understand requirements and improve overall product quality.
• Continuous Improvement: Stay updated with the latest testing tools, methodologies, and best practices to enhance the automation testing framework.

Qualifications:

• Experience: 4+ years of experience in automation testing with a focus on ETL, data warehousing, or big data environments.
• Technical Skills: Strong proficiency in SQL for complex queries and database testing. Solid experience with Python for test automation and scripting. Hands-on experience with ETL tools (e.g., Informatica, Talend, etc.). Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools such as Jenkins, Git, Docker, etc.
• Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail in identifying issues and ensuring data accuracy.
• Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to work effectively within a team and with stakeholders.
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Relevant certifications are a plus.

Good to have:

• Experience with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Knowledge of big data technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, or similar.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and integrating automated tests.
