About the Role:

CrowdStrike is hiring an experienced Software Engineer, Cloud with a strong background in backend and infrastructure engineering. In this role, you will own and lead the development of core features, microservices, and public cloud deployments that are core to the Identity Protection product. These services are highly distributed and scaled to process billions of events. Additionally, you will be responsible for managing the infrastructure where these deployments and services run. An ideal candidate will be responsible for leading delivery of cloud-based solutions, while maintaining high engineering standards and working with cutting-edge technologies across multiple contexts.

You would be joining the Identity Protection team, delivering core features enabling the infrastructure behind our Falcon Sensor and Cloud. Our team focuses on infrastructure, cloud, and software sensors relating to the detection and prevention of identity-related incidents in organizational networks.
 

What You’ll Do:

Design, architect, and implement features and services relating to the Identity Protection Product, utilizing Python, Golang, Shell, AWS, GCP, etc.

Research and improve both product and production cluster orchestration, service reliability, and availability.

Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated testing, deployment, and configuration rollouts.

Automate tasks and develop tools to increase engineering efficiency and visibility.

Design, build, and maintain critical infrastructure, such as the frameworks and packages required to implement automation.

Maintain and improve infrastructure security, reliability, scalability, and testing.

Mentor and be mentored by other developers on cloud services and core infrastructure technologies.

Be an energetic ‘self-starter’ who takes ownership and accountability, improving the overall quality and health of the product and team.

What You’ll Need:

Must be a US Citizen or Green Card holder residing on US Soil.

Bachelor’s in Computer Science, EECS, ECE, or other relevant major.

Fluency and proven development experience with Go (Golang) is required.

Fluency in operating major public clouds such as AWS (preferred), Azure, and GCP.

Bonus Points:

MS / PhD in Computer Science, EECS, ECE, or other relevant major.

Strong programming skills and experience with languages beyond Go, such as: Java, Python, TypeScript, NodeJS, and equivalent testing frameworks (e.g., Ginkgo).

5+ years of industry experience with Distributed Systems.

Several years of experience managing large-scale, business-critical Linux-based systems.

Ability to work well with a group of only senior engineers in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

Experience managing production systems with a high availability, complying with SLAs, and writing RCAs.

Proven ability to work effectively with both local and remote teams.

Rock solid communication skills, both verbal and written.

Practical experience with IT automation tools such as Chef or Ansible.

Existing knowledge of AWS GovCloud or similar FedRAMP authorized systems.

CrowdStrike, Inc. is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The base salary range for this position in the U.S. is $115,000 - $180,000 per year + variable/incentive compensation + equity + benefits. A candidate’s salary is determined by various factors including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications and location.
