You will need to be able to effectively maintain, debug, and advance the features of the production system by working effectively as one of several developers on a team. To do this, you will need to understand how to use Git source control, Jira ticketing for bugs and features, and documentation development on Confluence. For this specific role, a developer should be familiar with most of the technologies as listed, but is expected to remain flexible to changes in the technology stack and to learn new skills independently as the needs of the product change over time.   Location: Washington, DC   Schedule: Day/ M-F   Anticipated Salary Range: $95,000-125,000   Responsibilities   Duties will include: Define, assign, and resolve bugs, features, and tasks to enhance or maintain a production codebase using Git source code management within an agile software development team. Effectively modify backend services, including cloud serverless artifacts and databases, as well as frontend user interface components, to merge quality software into an operational IC system. Participate in multiple weekly agile development working sessions to ensure timely releases of bug fixes and new features. Participate in peer reviews of merge requests from team members Perform pre-release testing of bug fixes and new features Qualifications   Required Qualifications: TS-SCI clearance  Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in computer science, computer engineering, mathematics, or related fields requiring extensive use of software development, or, equivalently, three years of demonstrated, practical experience in software development. Three years of Python experience or certifications AWS developer associate or higher certification Experience with software testing to include unit testing and the use of testing frameworks on both the backend and frontend Willingness to be on site three days a week are pre-requisites for consideration. ​Skills: Amazon API Gateway AWS Lambda AWS DynamoDB AWS SQS and SNS CloudWatch IAM Python v3.10, with experience using: REST APIs, requests, Purest, logging Full-Stack Development AWS Developer Familiarity with JSON and XML data structures Not required but strongly encouraged is experience working with IC data JIRA Clearance:  Active Top-Secret clearance with current SCI eligibility with no waivers or deviations.   Mental Requirements: Must be able to multi-task and rapidly change priorities with limited notice.   Physical Requirements:  Must be able to sit/stand at a desk for long-periods and must be able to lift 20 pounds occasionally.    Preferred Qualifications: Familiarity and experience with the Intelligence Community (IC), and the intel cycle. Experience working in Agile and Scrum methodologies. Experience in backlog management, including Epic, Feature, User Story development, and refinement Experience with Confluence and Jira. Experience with the Microsoft 365 (M365) suite. Ability to be on-site 60% of the time at a client SCIF located in Washington, D.C. Strong verbal and non-verbal communication skills. Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment and build strong relationships with team members.
