A week in the life of Backend Java Developer:

You will be responsible for the design and implementation of new features, fixes and technical improvements to Backend Services in a Border Control system.You will participate in the architecture evolution, technical design, estimation of the workload and also contribute to the requirements specification.You will collaborate with the team to write the technical documentation related to these activities.You will be a team player inside one of our Scrum teams.

To succeed in this job, you must have:

At least 3 years of working experience in a software development teamExperience with modern Java 17 or newerExperience with Spring Boot, Micronaut or Quarkus frameworks to develop Micro servicesExperience with Kafka or another distributed messaging technologyExperience building and running Docker containersExperience with a Unit Testing frameworkAble to read and write technical documentation and source code in EnglishFluency in English (B2+) and Spanish

We will value:

Knowledge of DDD and event-driven architecturesExperience with Kafka Streams or another data stream processing technologyExperience with REST APIsKnowledge of cloud technologies like Consul and KubernetesKnowledge of Prometheus to produce technical metricsExperience with Jenkins or GitLab CI pipelinesKnowledge of Intellij IDEA or another IDEKnowledge of a second programming language: Kotlin, Scala, etc.
