ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES The Baer Assistant Project Manager position will assist in estimating, project administration, planning, scheduling, and reporting for small to large sized prefabrication construction projects. Baer Manufacturing does work nationally on Commercial, Health Care, Data Center, and Light Industrial projects. This Assistant Project Manager will manage a variety of projects with a focus on the projects that touch multiple work cells or projects that have subcontractors. This position will also assist in tracking the budgets and schedules on the large projects that are flowing through the building, as well as giving feedback to the estimating team. + Act as a reliable support system for the project manager, handling delegated tasks and ensuring seamless project execution. + Assist in maintaining and updating project files, correspondence, schedules, and reports to ensure compliance with contracts and organizational policies. + Track project progress and provide regular updates to the project manager and stakeholders. + Coordinate with production managers and subcontractors to ensure alignment with project objectives. + Help track resource availability and project deadlines, ensuring efficient use of labor and materials. + Coordinate the preparation and distribution of project deliverables to ensure timely completion. + Facilitate communication between departments, ensuring all teams involved in purchasing, production, and installation are aligned. + Assist in maintaining strong relationships with subcontractors and ensuring their compliance with Baer Manufacturing’s contracts and policies. + Work with the project manager to address challenges related to resource allocation, scheduling conflicts, or team dynamics. $65,000 - 100,000 + discretionary bonus + employee ownership + benefits Individual compensation is determined by skills, qualifications, experience, and location. QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS + High school diploma or equivalent. + Ability to understand design/build requirements as well as the scope of the contract documents issued for the prefabrication work to be performed. + Knowledge of materials, methods, and the tools involved in the construction industry. + Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, leadership techniques, production methods, and the coordination of manpower and resources. + Ability to develop specific goals and plans to prioritize, organize, and accomplish the work. + Effectively communicate verbally and in writing. + Ability to train, delegate, and coordinate work of other team members. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS + This job operates in a manufacturing environment and in a professional office environment. + This role regularly uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, filing cabinets, photocopiers and fax machines. + This position requires the ability to lift files and open file cabinets. + Employees are frequently required to sit, stand, and occasionally required to bend, kneel, reach, stoop, or crouch. + This position may occasionally lift up to 10 pounds. + Must wear personal protective equipment (PPE) per facility requirements, including but not limited to, hard toe work boots, safety glasses, gloves and, high visibility vest.
