**Purpose and Scope:** Provide fresh bakery products, cakes, cookies, gelatin desserts, pudding dessert, ice cream, and other pastry or dessert items as required by the Food Production Log or as requested by the government. This position is in support of the Air Force Contract Augmentation Program (AFCAP) and is located at Ascension Island Auxiliary Airfield (AAAF). **Essential Responsibilities:** + Provide fresh bakery products, cakes, cookies, gelatin desserts, pudding dessert, ice cream, and other pastry or dessert items as required by the Food Production Log or as requested by the government. + Manage production inventories, maintain par levels, and order required ingredients. + Ensure personal hygiene and work area is clean and always sanitized. + Perform specialized cake and pastry decorating. + Ensure recorded production, waste, and all logs are completed on a regular and consistent basis. **Minimum Position Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:** + Two (2) years commercial bakery/pastry kitchen experience. + Possess proper knowledge and experience with safe food handling and storage procedures. + Ability to follow and complete recipes per standards. + Must always have current ServSafe certification. + High school diploma or equivalent training & experience. + Ability to read and write English is required. + Solid communications skills, strong interpersonal skills. + Strong ability to work as a member of a diverse, dynamic team. + Outstanding problem-solving skills and sound judgment. + Candidate should be other country national (OCN) or local national (LN). + Possess a valid passport from their country have ability to obtain any visa required. + Ability to successfully pass contract medical requirements and maintain requirements for duration of deployment. + Prior overseas government contracting experience preferred. **Work Environment, Physical Demands, and Mental Demands:** + Able to stand for long periods of time such as eight (8) to ten (10) hours, bend, kneel, and reach to store/retrieve supplies. + Able to lift, carry, and push supplies and boxes up to 50 pounds. + Living and working conditions at the assignment location could be remote and uncomfortable. + Long hours, exposure to weather and hazardous conditions. + Personnel should be aware of moving on short notice and under adverse conditions. + Ability to travel domestically and internationally.
