Job Description
As a Bakery Associate, you will be responsible for assisting with the production and packaging of baked goods, including donuts, Danish, and muffins. You will ensure that all safety, GMP, and quality policies are adhered to and assist with various tasks such as pushing racks, washing equipment, checking weights, cleaning, flipping donuts, and more.
ResponsibilitiesComplete the pre-operational production checklist and get approval before starting work.Inspect ingredient containers and bags for tears, punctures, or broken seals and reject any damaged ingredients.Clean the outside of all ingredient containers before opening and ensure no foreign materials contaminate the ingredients.Pre-scale ingredients in containers using digital scales according to dough type and record lot numbers on designated forms.Load ingredients into the dough mixer, inspect for contaminants, and ensure the proper mix time is set.Start and manage the lamination line, ensuring all necessary adjustments are made based on dough consistency.Maintain cleanliness in all work areas, including putting away ingredients, cleaning work tables, and sweeping floors.Assist with the production and packaging of donuts, Danish, and muffins by performing various tasks such as monitoring conveyors, applying labels, and wrapping pallets.Ensure all areas of responsibility are kept clean during and after the run, placing all equipment, raw materials, and waste in their proper locations.Communicate with other bakery team members and supervisors to identify and resolve challenges while improving operational efficiencies.Perform routine safety checks to ensure the workspace is free from potential safety risks.Essential SkillsHigh School Diploma or GEDMust be 18 or olderAbility to lift and push/pull 50 lbs continuously throughout the day without assistanceAbility to stand for 8-12 hours a dayAbility to work overtime and weekends if neededBasic comprehension of the English language (speak/understand, read/write)Non-slip (oil/water rated) safety shoes (no steel toe required)Must follow all PPE/GMP requirementsAdditional Skills & QualificationsExperience in a production, GMP, or food manufacturing environmentKnowledge of food safety and GMP policiesAbility to operate machinery and handle food productsWhy Work Here?

Work Environment
The work environment is a manufacturing and GMP setting that can be very hot and loud. Employees must adhere to strict GMP policies, including wearing non-slip safety footwear, company-provided smocks, gloves, hairnets, and beard nets. The facility is a peanut-free zone, and no food or cell phones are allowed in the manufacturing area. Employees must wash their hands thoroughly and wear gloves when working in the production area.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $17.50 - $17.50
