Job Description

 

What You’ll Do:

As a Festival Foods Bakery Merchandiser, you will:

Maintain Excellence: Ensure all department standards are consistently met on the Bakery department sales floor. Monitor the sales floor conditions and take prompt action to address any opportunities for improvement.Collaborate and Communicate: Work closely with the Bakery Manager, bakers, and other associates to maintain high standards and go above and beyond to exceed guest expectations.Keep it Fresh: Ensure that everything in the bakery department, from pastries to breads, is fresh and fully stocked. Build and move displays as needed to create eye-catching presentations that showcase our delicious products.Provide Outstanding Service: Assist guests in finding the items they’re looking for, taking orders for cakes and special pastry requests, and offering exceptional customer service with a smile. Handle phone inquiries professionally and support your team with packaging, labeling, and rotating products.Stay Organized: Replenish supplies, maintain food safety logs, and contribute to the overall cleanliness of the department by picking up, organizing, and cleaning work areas, shelving, and the sales floor as needed.Ensure Quality: Meet all quality standards, including quantity expectations at 100% by 10 am and 5 pm. Maintain regular, timely attendance, and ensure adequate notice is given for occasional absences.Honor Commitments: Regular, timely attendance in compliance with the work schedule, and adequate notice to find a replacement for occasional absences.Support the Team: Other duties as assigned.

What We’re Looking For:

To excel in the Bakery Merchandiser Role, you'll need:

Customer Service Skills: Ability to provide excellent customer service and work effectively with both guests and team members.Food Service and Merchandising Expertise: Knowledge of the retail food business, particularly in bakery operations, and strong merchandising skills to create appealing displays.Safety Awareness: Comprehensive understanding of safety requirements and company safety policies, with the ability to apply on-the-job safety training.

Work Schedule:

This hourly position offers a flexible schedule that generally includes mornings, afternoons, and weekends, with the potential for evening and holiday shifts as needed.
