As a team member, you will develop your customer service and leadership skills while serving stadium guests at Nationals Park. The Washington Nationals are currently seeking two Experience & Hospitality Associates for the 2025 season (Mar-Oct) & (Jan-Nov). The associates primary responsibilities will be assisting with the day-to-day operations of the Experience & Hospitality department. This program will provide the associate with an opportunity to gain valuable experience in guest experience and ballpark operations with a professional baseball organization. The associate will have an expected commitment of 34 hours per week.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Act as department representative in stadium command center during games and other ballpark events Assist with the execution of the TEAM Service Program including game day staff pre-season training and rewards & recognition program Assist Manager with categorizing and sorting all inbound customer support emails; respond to customer questions and dispatch emails to other departments when appropriate in order to resolve all customer issues Evaluate inbound customer communication across social media, Nationals guest support email inbox, and customer surveys to document trends and identify areas for improvement in the stadium experience Respond to fan mail and Fan Pack requests Create content for Nationals Park social media channels, publishing critical updates and marketing materials regarding games, concerts, and special events Conduct assessments on the existing guest experience and identify ways to enhance it; work with Associate to present recommendations to executive team and implement changes Assist with the research and implementation of new technologies that enhance the guest experience. General clerical office duties, data entry, and other duties as assignedMinimum Education and Experience Requirements
Currently enrolled as an undergraduate or graduate student at an accredited college or university or is a recent graduate Available for the entire term of the associate role Authorized to work in the United StatesKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities necessary to perform essential functions
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint), Adobe Acrobat Pro and Adobe Creative Suite Strong writing skills for guest feedback and inquiry responses Familiarity with social media platforms, particularly Instagram and X (Twitter) Must be able to work 80% of the game days at Nationals Park during the season High degree of emotional intelligence and ability to communicate professionally with others in a high stress environment Equipped to handle customer conflicts with diplomacy; ability to use resources to find resolutions to guest issues Ability to prioritize appropriately and work on multiple simultaneous projects Uphold Core Values: Excellence, Performance, and Accountability. Gameday Seasonal: Job requires employee to function in a high activity and heavily crowded outdoor professional sports venue. May work at heights. Employee will be exposed to inclement weather of varying degrees while performing the duties of this job.
Compensation:
The projected wage rate for this position is $17.50 per hour. Actual pay is based on several factors, including but not limited to the applicant’s: qualifications, skills, expertise, education/training, certifications, and other organization requirements. Starting salaries for new employees are frequently not at the top of the applicable salary range.
