SUMMARY
The Bank President I manages a branch with assets totaling $50MM – $100MM with a dedicated commercial lending position in the branch. This position will lead employees in achieving the bank's goals, mission, vision and values through effectively executing the Service Commitments. Accountable for managing the bank's resources in a manner that will enhance its visibility, and positively contribute to the revenue growth and maximize profitability.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Represents and promotes First Interstate Bank in the communities in the market.Maintains active involvement with client relationships and assistance with officer call program and other business development programs.Participates in community activities and events.Monitors credit portfolios.Contributes to branch profitability through loan interest spreads, fee income, and cost control.Makes credit decisions within lending authority; keeping the Chief Banking Officer and Chief Credit Officer informed of credit trends, and shares outlook of performance of individual loans.Counsels and trains staff to insure consistent results and proper administration of controls.Serves as a resource to personnel to resolve questions or issues.Establishes goals and objectives for assigned personnel and monitors productivity and performance on a continual basis.Contributes to strategic level discussions with Executive Leadership team.Provides practical, relevant ideas, and perspectives on processes or process improvement.Engages, demonstrates, and fosters the First Interstate Bank Mission, Vision, and Values by executing the Service Commitments.
MANAGEMENT RESPONSIBILITIES
Provides leadership and supervises/manages branch staff.Provides quality feedback and performance evaluations in order to develop and retain talent.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Proven leadership experience and experience with budgets and achieving financial results.Extensive knowledge of credit principles and practices, lending laws, and regulations.Ability to work effectively with individuals and groups across the company to manage customer relationships.Excellent communication skills including the ability to present in small and large groups, including the ability to communicate with affluent clients, prospects, and branch employees.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Valid Driver’s license.Proficiency with personal computers and related software packages such as Word and Excel.Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents.Ability to respond to common inquiries of complaints of customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's Degree required4-6 years of bank management experience and/or equivalent combination of education and experience required
