We are seeking a talented individual to join our Accounting Operation team at Marsh McLennan. This role will be based in Urbandale and work a hybrid schedule.
As a Banking Assistant - Accounting Operations, you will be a seasoned individual contributor, providing experienced, independent operational support. You will be part of a team responsible for optimizing the efficiency and regulatory compliance of the company’s financial systems, processes and reporting.
We will count on you to:
Assume the client facing roleManage new requests for access to company owned bank accounts based on set of controls/procedures, without deviationEnsure compliance with corporate policies, carrier agreements, SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley Act) procedures, SSAE16 (Statement on Standards for Attestation Engagements No. 16) procedures tax regulations, local and US GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles), and local statutory regulations (as applicable) regarding financial mattersEnsure compliance is met for all requests prior to implementationOn-board new initiatives to include new banks and User groupsSupport Business Analyst with quarterly bank certificationWork within SLA timeline for the completion of User accessIdentify, document, and implement refined processesMaintain Knowledge Exchange for NA Bank Security Administration and update when appropriateAssist and lead implementation of process changes and projectsPrepare ad hoc analyses as assignedAll other duties as assignedWhat you need to have:
A valid passport (a requirement of the bank; no travel needed)Prior bank or banking admin experience or knowledgeA good understanding of internal controls and external auditsTech savvy – able to learn new software and navigate through platforms quicklyDetail oriented for accuracyA quick learner with forward thinking skillsAbility to work in team environmentAbility to prioritize work based on urgencyIntermediate proficiency in Access and Excel, and working knowledge of the MS Office SuiteWhat makes you stand out?
