POSITION SUMMARY:

 

the Banquet Housemen is responsible for assisting the supervisors and other leaders with parts of banquets operations (Function set- up, tear down, equipment check, etc.).  The position ensures that all standard procedures, rules and regulations, quality of service and sequence of service are highly implemented and emphasized consistently. 


PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
    
Customer Service
1.    Always greet guests promptly in a warm and friendly manner 
2.    Establishes immediate eye contact and smile with guest
3.    Always thank and farewell guests conveying anticipation for their next visit
4.    Establish rapport with guests to build guest loyalty and gather constructive feedback to ensure satisfaction of every individual of guest
5.    Be friendly and flamboyant as an individual
6.    Maintain the conversation and do not expose any sensitive topics to the guest
7.    Maintains positive guest and colleague interactions with good working relationships. 
8.    Establishes a rapport with guests maintaining good customer relationships. 
9.    Verifies that guests are receiving the best possible service.

 

Operational  
1.    Ensures that brand standards are consistently implemented. 
2.    Updates all Colleague Logs/ Files and make daily maintenance check
3.    Assists in preparation of VIP and/ or large ballroom events
4.    Responds to the results of the Consumer Audit and ensures that the relevant changes are implemented. 
5.    Conducts monthly inventory checks on all operating equipment and supplies. 
6.    Have a thorough knowledge and understanding of all food and beverage items in the menu and the ability to recommend Food and Beverage combinations and up sell alternatives. 
7.    Ensures that operations area is kept clean and organized, both at the front as well as the back of house.

QUALIFICATIONS:
    
I.    Experience

Experience in Food & Beverages, 5-star international hotels/resorts, and/or in freestanding restaurants is an advantage


II.    Education

Preferably a Diploma holder in Hospitality Business Management or any related course 


III.    Skills / Competencies

1.    Effective time management, task management and communication 
2.    Good command in both spoken and written English
