Banquet Houseperson

As an essential member of our hospitality team, the Catering Houseperson is responsible for event setup, cleanliness, and care of banquet equipment. This role involves interpreting Banquet Event Orders to appropriately configure and break down event spaces, handling equipment responsibly, and reporting any damage to the Catering Service Manager.

Key Components of the role will include:

Read the Banquet Event Order (BEO) and set up event spaces accordingly. Know the layout of function rooms and how to arrange them. - Set up and take down all functions efficiently. Handle and store banquet equipment carefully. Assist guests and direct requests beyond your role to your supervisor. Maintain cleanliness in function and storage areas. Return unused equipment to storage, clean and organized, by shift's end. Ensure all equipment works properly before use in event spaces. - Report damage to catering equipment or rooms to the Catering Service Manager promptly. Refresh meeting rooms during breaks, checking temperature and lighting.  

Prior experience in a similar position is preferred, but we are willing to train the right candidate.
