Basic Function:  To facilitate banquet food and beverage service to each guest in an expedient, professional and courteous manner.  Set-up and teardown of assigned functions

Read and understand all particulars of Banquet Event Orders including start time and menusArrive at scheduled start time in appropriate uniform and ready to workUniform must be neat and pressedCollect all necessary equipment and bring to designated area(s)Polish all china, glass and silverwareAssist in the set-up of banquet functionsProvide banquet food and beverage service to guests in a professional and courteous manner consistent with established standards and levels of excellence Work efficiently and as a teamExpediently communicate any challenges, guest complaints or requests to the Banquet CaptainAfter function, remove and return all equipment to proper storageRetrieve and store all china, glass and silverware to proper storageRespond to the Banquet Captain’s instructions and directionsObserve all safety procedures during the execution of assigned dutiesMaintain a positive and professional attitude towards guests, co-workers and managementReport to Banquet Captain before ending work shiftOther duties as assigned

Minimum Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent.  Must work well with or without direct supervision.  Must be able to interpret and follow directions related to BEO’s (Banquet Event Orders).  Must be neat and well groomed at all times.  Needs to be flexible, self motivated, positive and have a professional attitude towards guests, co-worker and management.  Must maintain current food handler’s certification.  Prior serving experience desired.  English skills necessary to communicate with guests
