The Manager of Banquets oversees Banquets, Arrangements/Set Up, and Beverage department staff by ensuring service standards in the execution of Banquet, Convention, and Social events for the Hershey Lodge.

Job Duties (Duties marked with an asterisk are essential functions of this job):
Supervise, develop, and hold accountable Assistant Banquet Managers through ensuring support in day-to-day functions for the Banquets, Arrangements/Set Up, and Beverage departments including assisting in hiring, scheduling, training, and the successful execution of events.* Create and update schedules for all areas of Banquet operations staff. Track changes made to counts for events and adjust daily schedules based on operational needs, including keeping track of on-call schedules and corresponding with on-call staff.* Complete walkthroughs of spaces prior to events and review Banquet Event Orders (BEOs) to ensure rooms are clean, functional, and accurately prepared to requested specifications. Address repairs or additional changes as needed.* Provide leadership on the floor to monitor the flow of service, resolve guest or employee concerns, and uphold hospitality standards to ensure guest satisfaction.* Assist with maintaining monthly linen inventory and act as a liaison with Convention Services, General Kitchen, and Culinary Management/Leadership to coordinate and execute Banquet department and event needs.* Strategize in all areas of the department’s Standard Operating Procedures to identify areas of opportunity that will consistently enhance internal and external guest experiences.* Identify and provide development and training opportunities to enhance the growth and effectiveness of team members in all areas of the Banquet department.* Maintain and enforce health, safety, and sanitation standards in compliance with Company and ServSafe Standards.* Assist with scheduling and executing contracted Banquet functions at other locations including, but not limited to, the Hershey Gardens, Hershey Theatre, Hershey Story Museum, and more.* Perform other duties as assigned.Qualifications:
Must be 18 years of age or older. Minimum of 3 years of related experience. Industry Experience - Hospitality, Food & Beverage, Banquet, and/or Convention background within a Hotel service setting. Minimum of 2 years supervisory experience. Completion of high school or GED. Must have a valid driver’s license and complete an annual driver check. Post-Employment: RAMP and ServSafe Manager Certifications within 60 days of hire.Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Skilled in the use of Google Suite and Microsoft Office applications, including Excel and Word. Working knowledge of Amadeus, Info Genesis, UKG Pro, and OpenTable Software. Proficient working with details on a daily basis for prolonged periods of time. Experience in the management of a unionized workforce. Must exhibit strong leadership, motivational, and organizational skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Demonstrate strong problem solving and guest/employee relations skills.
