Job Description
To ensure the smooth conduct of the shift through customer- focused service delivery and effective staff supervision. To assist management in running the outlet ensuring maximum guest satisfaction, consistent standards, through planning, organizing, directing and controlling the bar operation and administration.
KEY ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Supervise day-to-day bar operations adhering to service standardsAssist management by creating weekly duty rosterHandling of guests complaints in a timely and effective mannerChecking of guests’ satisfaction and proper handling of feedback and follow-upReport complaints, incidents or any other irregularities to ManagementPerform opening and closing duties as assigned (check list)Assist the Bar Manager in conducting daily shift briefings to update and disseminate relevant information to bar employeesEnsure that all operating equipment, service and storage areas are maintained properlyHelp minimize waste, neglect, breakages and mishandling of supplies and equipmentsCarry out light cleaning and maintenance of the pantry area Monitor quality of beverage products in every single orderAttend all meetings and training as requested by Bar ManagementPerform trainer tasks and conduct staff training as assigned by Bar ManagerHelp manage and follow up on employees’ performance appraisalsCheck on employees’ discipline, grooming standards and punctuality; provide coachingAssist in employees’ development, counselling and resolving staff conflictMaintain complete knowledge of all F&B services, outlets, hotel services/featuresHandle cash following established and proper Accounting proceduresAssist other Food & Beverage Outlets in their operations within peak times when neededObserve Recycling Procedures of the Hotel in Relation to cans and bottles
PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES
Excellent reading, writing and oral proficiency in EnglishExperienced in all aspects of bar serviceMust be well-presented and professionally groomed at all timesExcellent leader and trainer with strong interpersonal skills to deal with diverse staffAbility to motivate employees to work as a team effectively and productivelyQualifications
QUALIFICATIONS
Post Secondary school education or Hotel Management School graduateMinimum 2 - 3 years hotel experience with at least 1 year in similar role in luxury hotel1 year food and beverage experiencePrevious public contact and/or cashiering experience
