Bar Supervisor - Jackalberry

We are currently looking for an experienced Full Time Supervisor to join our Outlet Manager in leading the bar operations for our global-inspired Jackalberry bar restaurant.

Located adjacent to Darling Harbour in Sydney's Central Business District (CBD), Hyatt Regency Sydney is a haven of relaxation for the business or leisure traveller. As Sydney's largest premium hotel, the hotel boasts 878 guestrooms, multiple dining experiences and event spaces. The hotel offers more than 3,700 sq m of sleek meeting and event space in the heart of the city featuring two spacious ballrooms with views of Darling Harbour and 22 additional meeting rooms.

The Role: Jackalberry Bar allows people to disappear from the bustling urban jungle and explore a menu of globally inspired dishes, drinks and decor – an idyllic hideaway for wanderers seeking respite.

As the Jackalberry Bar Supervisor, you will play a critical role in our operations providing support to the Outlet Manager. In this fast-paced and vibrant environment you will be responsible for the delivery of exceptional experiences for our guests. You will possess strong knowledge for developing and creating cocktails and share your craft with team members that you will be supporting.

Responsibilities Include:

Actively supervising the operations of Jackalberry, demonstrating bar operations which are line with our brand philosophy

Achieving high standards of service, elevating guest satisfaction and using metrics to measure success

Fostering a supportive and safe environment for all colleagues

Conducting regulated stocktake and inventory checks to ensure product is on par and meets business demands

Providing regular training and coaching to new and existing team members

Assist in the creative development of the venue, including menu creation, expansion opportunities, and new market offerings

Devising rostering that adhere to business need and budget allocation

Adopting processes and strategies to maximise profitability

Ensuring our team are following policies and procedures

Our Ideal Candidate will possess:

At least one years’ experience in a similar role or operation

Demonstrated leadership experience

Enthusiasm for career development and a passion for people

Strong organisational and time management skills

Availability to work a rotating roster including day shifts, evening shifts and weekends

Unrestricted, valid working rights in Australia

A valid NSW RSA
