THE VENUE

View Boston, which encompasses the top three floors of the Prudential Tower, will feature immersive experiential exhibits and a bistro on the 50th floor, an indoor/outdoor cocktail lounge with a 360-degree outdoor viewing deck on the 51st floor, and a double high (24-foot) indoor viewing space on the 52nd floor. THE ROLE

The Barback provides behind-the-scenes support that keeps our bar running smoothly. The Barback assists Bartenders by restocking supplies, maintaining cleanliness, and ensuring our guests receive fast, efficient service in a high-volume, high-energy environment with stunning skyline views.

ESSENTIAL DUTES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Stock and replenish bar inventory includes liquor, mixers, glassware, ice, and garnishes. Maintain cleanliness and organization of bar areas. Assist bartenders during service by clearing used glassware and preparing garnishes. Anticipate bartender & guest needs throughout the shift. Remove trash and recycle throughout shift and at close. Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation standards. Report timely to work and prepare to start at the starting time. Know your work area and set up as directed. Abide by the operating standards outlined in the policy and procedure manual. Support the bar team during busy periods and special events.  Perform other related duties, tasks and responsibilities as required from Management as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty with energy and enthusiasm. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE     

2-3 years’ experience working in a fast-paced bar, high-end club, or restaurant. Must be 18 years or older.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES

Strong organizational and multitasking skills. Positive attitude and a strong sense of urgency. Ability to interact with co-workers to assure compliance with company service standards. Basic knowledge of food and beverage preparations, service standards, guest relations and etiquette. Must be able to read, speak and write English Language to communicate with guests and coworkers. Ability to lift to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods. Must have sufficient mobility to perform assigned production tasks including constant reaching, bending, stooping, wiping, pushing, and pulling for extended periods of time. Flexible availability includes nights, weekends, and holidays.
