Overview Job Summary: A Barista at Black Desert Resort is responsible for crafting high-quality coffee and tea beverages and providing exceptional customer service. This position reports to the Café Manager and is crucial in creating a welcoming atmosphere in our café. The Barista prepares beverages, handles transactions, and maintains a clean and organized workspace. Job Specification: Location: Onsite at Black Desert Resort Shift & Schedule: Year-Round / Full Time & Part Time / Weekends / Holidays Pay Range: $15.00/hour plus Tips. This is the pay range we reasonably expect to pay for this position. Individual compensation decisions are based on a variety of factors. Job Responsibilities but not limited to: Prepare and serve high-quality coffee, tea, and other beverages according to standard recipes and guest preferences. Provide excellent customer service, taking orders accurately and answering any questions about the menu. Operate coffee machines, grinders, and other equipment safely and efficiently. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café, including cleaning equipment, countertops, and seating areas. Handle cash and credit card transactions accurately and efficiently. Stock and replenish inventory, including coffee beans, milk, syrups, and other supplies. Follow health and safety regulations and company policies to ensure a safe and sanitary environment. Assist with the setup and breakdown of the café before and after service. Engage with guests in a friendly and professional manner, ensuring a welcoming atmosphere. Participate in training sessions and stay updated on new menu items and techniques. Qualifications Preferred Qualifications and Skills: Previous experience as a barista or in a similar role in a café or hospitality setting is preferred. Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality and consistency. Ability to work efficiently under pressure and handle multiple tasks. Good communication and teamwork skills. Friendly and approachable demeanor with a passion for providing excellent customer service. Basic knowledge of coffee brewing techniques and equipment operation. Ability to handle the physical demands of the job, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods. Willingness to follow instructions and take on new challenges.
