Ensures service standards are met and surpassed by creating the Starbucks experience for customers by providing prompt service, quality beverages and products, and maintaining a clean and comfortable environment. Job Responsibilities: Prepares quality beverages and food products and serves to customer. Provides quality beverages including espresso drinks and Coffee of the Week, food products, and Whole Bean consistently for all customers by adhering to all recipe and presentation standards. Follows state, federal and The Joint Commission health, safety and sanitation standards/guidelines when preparing and serving product. Maintains quality store operations. Follows store policies and procedures for operational flow at each station. Organizes work througho Provides exceptional customer service. Delivers legendary service to all customers with a “customer comes first” attitude, connects with the customer, and responds and takes care of customer needs with the “just say yes” approach. Anticipates customer and store essentials by constantly evaluating the store environment and customers for cues. Discovers customer needs and appropriately suggests other products with every customer to enhance service and meet sales goals. Assist ut the store in a manner that facilitates efficient customer service. Maintains a clean and comfortable environment by performing cleaning tasks in accordance with the Duty Rosters and cleaning standards. Follows inventory stocking and recording guidelines. Ensures compliance during store visits. Assists in merchandising, stocking, rotating and storing all products. Operates cash register. Counts and verifies starting cash amount. Enters each transaction according to designated category. (i.e. cash, gift card, credit card, etc.). Maintains register security by following cash handling and register policies. Notifies supervisor of any error. Maintains and safely uses equipment. Operates beverage and food service equipment according to Starbucks/ Department policy. Disassembles and reassembles equipment as required for cleaning. Performs equipment cleaning and maintenance in accordance with the preventive maintenance checklist. Performs other related duties as assigned or directed to meet the goals and objectives of the department and the hospital. Maintains regular and predictable attendance. Minimum Education and/or Training: High School Diploma or GED is required Minimum Experience: Previous Barista or Food Service experience preferred Licensure, Registration and/or Certification Required by SJCRH Only: (LC: BARISTA) Must have Barista Certification after completing Initial Store Training within six weeks of employment. (LC: SERVSAFE) ServSafe Food Handler Training Certificate Program or another American National Standards Institute (ANSI) accredited Food Handler Training Certificate Program required within 30 days of hire. Employee must maintain current certification during employment. This is an estimate offered in good faith and a specific salary offer takes into account factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the salary range and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case.
