**Hotel:** Long Beach Hilton 701 W Ocean Boulevard Long Beach, CA 90831 Barista Part time **Starting Compensation** $23.00 - $27.14 Expected Job Closing Date: 2024-12-24 **Job Description** **Pay:** $23.00 - $27.14 **Profile:** Telecommute: No Bonus Eligible: No Direct Reports: No Reports To: All-Purpose Manager, Executive Chef or Banquet Manager Equipment: Uniform **Primary Purpose:** The primary purpose of the Barista is to provide guests with an excellent café experience. **Work Performed:** The Barista will be tasked with the following duties, responsibilities, and assignments: + Provide high-quality guest service through outstanding interpersonal relations, informing guests about available food, beverage and retail items for purchase and about amenities in the hotel and surroundingarea; + Marketavailable food, beverage and gift shop itemstoguests; + Prepare specialty coffee drinks in accordance withrecipes;   + Clean and disinfect thecafé;   + Maintainand refreshmerchandise and fooddisplays;   + Capture all sales according to company guidelines, including responsibility forthe cashdrawer;   + Account for all cash and secure money drops according to companypolicy;   + Observe Health Department guidelines for food handling and sanitation so that guests and employees will not be in risk of cross-contamination, especially focusing on cleaning and sanitizingsinks, side boards, and refrigerators clean andsanitized; + Date and rotate food on a dailybasis; + Follow all company safety and security policies and procedures, including reporting accidents,injuriesand unsafe work conditions to management; and + Any and allother work as required to complete the primary purpose of the position. **Qualifications:** **Required Prior Experience:** Prior customer service experience **Preferred Prior Experience:** Six months experience in food service **Preferred Education:** High school diploma or equivalent **Required Licenses/ Certification:** Food Safety certificate or complete training during initial 90 days Alcohol certification or complete training during initial 90 days **Preferred Technology:** Previous experience with Micros operating system **Physical:** Able to lift a minimum of 50lbs occasionally Able to bend and squat repeatedly Able to walk and stand for duration of scheduled shift **Other:** Flexible to work day, early mornings, evenings, nights, weekends and holidays shifts.
