The Omni Providence is a landmark hotel in Rhode Island. This hotel is located in the exciting city of Providence and is attached to the Rhode Island Convention Center, Dunkin Donuts Convention Center, as well as the Providence Place Mall. Guests find themselves in walking distance to everything the city has to offer from historical sights to amazing restaurants.

Responsible for day to day Coffee Shop operations and providing extraordinary service to guests. Must be able to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends and holidays.
Responsibilities Maintain regular attendance in compliance with Omni standards, as required by scheduling which will vary according to the needs of the hotel.Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming, which include wearing the proper attire/uniform and name tag when working. Responsible for either the opening or closing of the outlet as assigned by the Banquet Manager or Director of Banquets. Ensure that outlet is open on time. Responsible for gathering all food and beverage needs from coolers and freezers, dry storage areas and maintaining proper inventories. Produce quality food and beverages for customers such as lattes, cappuccinos, and other espresso-based drinks, blended drinks and coffee, breakfast pastries, sandwiches and lunch fare. Responsible for maintaining assigned bank each shift.Alert Banquet Manager or Director of Banquets of any inventory shortages or ordering needs.Follow up on daily projects to ensure follow through.Assist with physical inventory when needed.Responsible for maintaining a clean work area, including surrounding seating areas, and handling all trash from the outlet.Responsible for maintaining general knowledge of the hotel property, including locations of dining outlets, pool & fitness, knowing property’s daily events and activities for guests.Complete other duties as assigned by management. Qualifications Ability to clearly and pleasantly communicate both verbally and in writing in English with guests, management and co-workers, both in person and by telephone.Previous customer service experience is strongly preferred.Scheduling flexibility, including willingness to work weekends and holidays.General knowledge of cash handling and Point of Sale systems is preferred.Must have and maintain current Rhode Island Food Handlers and Tips certification.Must be able to lift and move up to 50 pounds.Must be able to stand for extended periods of time.Omni Hotels & Resorts is an equal opportunity employer.
