Overview The Barista is responsible for assisting the Supervisor/Manager in ensuring a smooth operation and maintain the highest level of standards and efficiency. The Barista shall strive to provide exceptional service to both internal and external guests at all times. The candiate will be responsible for exemplifying the La Cantera Resort and Spa Culture as the Employer of Choice! ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Ensure physical atmosphere and cleanliness of tables and side stations. Assist in maintaining a smooth running operation. Monitor food quality and service level. Provide a pleasant and efficient atmosphere for staff and guests. Assist in inventory control. Maintain service standards. Responsible for daily paperwork including payroll, inventory, etc. Assist staff with any problems that may occur. Enters orders accurately into POS systems. Performs food & beverage preparation duties such as preparing condiments, brewing coffee and ensuring workstations are stocked. Mixes ingredients to prepare coffee and other beverages according to recipe. Checks identification to verify age requirements for alcohol purchase/consumption. Offers creative selling of products to guests. Share your knowledge and recommendations of the food & beverage menus to our guests. Provides general resort information for guests. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. Current TABC & Food Handlers Certificate One year restaurant experience. Ability to make quick decisions in high stress situations. Well organized. Excellent customer service skills.
