SCHEDULE: The hospitality industry is 24 hours a day, seven days a week, and 365 days of the year. All candidates must be available and will be expected when business levels call for it. Qualifications Must be TABC and Texas Food Handlers Certified or able to be Certified by the start date. Must have a love and passion for the coffee environment. One year barista service experience preferred, but not required. High school diploma or equivalent. Must be able to read menus. Must be able to articulate clear greetings and farewells to Guests, as well as being able to understand requests for assistance. Must be able to hear well in a loud environment in order to answer telephone and respond to Guest requests. Must be able to walk and stand during entire shift. Must be able to reach, bend, stoop and wipe. Must be able to understand requests for assistance. Must be able to carry trays or supplies (10-30 lbs.) A desire to help out where needed and work as part of a team. Ability to work positively in a fast-paced environment. Ability to maintain composure and professionalism in a highly active service setting. Pleasant and outgoing personality necessary.
