Barrick Hemlo – 2025 Co-op Expression of Interest

 

Position Description:

Co-op placements are available across a range of disciplines, including:

Mine Engineering Chemical Engineering Mechanical Engineering Geology Skilled Trades (Electrical, Millwright, Mechanical) Health & Safety Environmental

 

Co-op terms are flexible, ranging from 4 to 16 months, depending on your program requirements.

 

This is a paid co-op opportunity, with a biweekly local travel allowance provided in accordance with our company policy. In addition, all co-op students will be provided with a shared, fully furnished apartment in Marathon, so relocation is required for the duration of the co-op.

 

Responsibilities:

As a co-op student, you will take on meaningful, real-world tasks related to your field of study, working closely with experienced professionals. You’ll gain hands-on experience and contribute to impactful work in your chosen discipline.

 

Qualifications:

Must be eligible for a co-op through post-secondary program. Must be enrolled in school for the Fall 2025 semester (proof of enrollment required). Must meet co-op requirements for school of program of study. Must be able to pass Barrick Hemlo’s pre-employment physical, which includes drug and alcohol testing as well as physical/medical exam. Must hold a valid driver’s license and have reliable transportation to commute to and from the workplace.
