Bartender weekends needed Food servers, also known as waiters or waitresses, perform a variety of tasks to ensure that diners have a pleasant dining experience. Here are some common tasks they typically handle: 1. **Greeting Customers** : When customers arrive, food servers welcome them, provide menus, and assist with seating if necessary. 2. **Taking Orders** : Food servers take food and drink orders from customers, noting any special requests or dietary restrictions. They may also provide recommendations if asked. 3. **Entering Orders** : In some establishments, food servers input orders into a computer system to send them to the kitchen or bar. 4. **Serving Food and Drinks** : Once orders are ready, food servers bring them to the table, ensuring accuracy and presentation.
