This position is responsible for preparing alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages for guests and/or Servers in accordance with established outlet policies, procedures and steps of service, while providing a fun, fresh, friendly and exciting environment.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities: includes but not limited to:
Greets guests with a smile and friendly welcomeFills drink orders per the outlets recipes and standards with fast, fun, friendly and focused serviceResponsible for having extensive knowledge of all applicable menus and productsPerforms steps of service in a hospitable and professional manner according to standards set by the FOH teamUses point of sale terminal and completes other cashiering functionsConsistently applies knowledge of state liquor laws including proper identification procedures, monitoring levels of intoxication, intervention strategies, refusal of service and shutoff proceduresActively up-sells products and uses endorsements at all appropriate service opportunitiesSets-up and breaks down assigned bar in accordance with department policies and proceduresMaintains sanitation and safety standards in assigned work areasPoses for pictures with guests, as requestedAttends social events and is available for public appearancesSecondary Duties and Responsibilities:
Maintains proper par levels of beverage products, supplies and glassesMaintains garnishes, glassware and overall cleanliness of barsCommunicates inventory and maintenance needs to managementPerforms opening and closing dutiesPromotes upcoming venue eventsMinimum Education and Qualifications:
Previous bartending experience in a full service restaurant, lounge or showroom/nightclub or completion of bartending school requiredOutgoing personality, well groomed with a special or unique talent for entertaining guests (i.e. dancing, singing, etc.)Previous experience in modeling or in a position interacting with the publicCompetencies: Incumbent will master the following competencies while in this position:
Excellent communication skillsIntermediate knowledge of spirits, beers, wines and beverage service techniquesThorough knowledge of ice handling procedures as well as health and sanitation guidelinesAbility to maintain a clean, well-stocked bar efficiently and effectivelyExcellent working knowledge of drinks, recipes and use of endorsements at appropriate service opportunitiesProficiency in the call order systemExcellent knowledge of state liquor laws including proper identification procedures, monitoring levels of intoxication, intervention strategies, refusal of service and shutoff proceduresTraining Requirements:
