Summary THIS IS A NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 32 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION. This National Guard position is for a BASE SERVICES MANAGER TITLE 32 PERMANENT, Position Description Number D2042000 and is part of the NH 157th Mission Support Group, National Guard. This vacancy is to gather applications that may or may not result in a referral or selection. Responsibilities The primary purpose of the position is to evaluate, plan, organize, and direct Base Services functions in support of federal, state, and local missions. The incumbent serves as supervisor and primary point-of-contact for Services related programs, missions, functions, activities, and events for the wing and its assigned Geographically Separated Units (GSU). Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Compatible military grade and assignment required prior to the effective date of placement. This is a Title 32 excepted INDEFINITE service position that requires membership in a compatible military assignment in the employing state's National Guard. Applicants who are not currently a member of the National Guard must be eligible for immediate membership in the military grade/rank listed in the announcement. Military Grades: Enlisted E6 - E8 Selectee(s) must be within the military grade(s) listed in this job announcement prior to the effective date of placement into the technician position. Applicant(s) (Enlisted) who are over grade must clearly state, in their resumes, their intentions to willingly take a reduction in grade. Compatible Military Assignments: 3F1X1 Must qualify as a 3F171 within 24 months. A waiver from the Career Field Manager will be required for anyone who crosstrains GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Experience, education or training which provided a general knowledge of principles of organization, management, and administration. Compiling reports, letters, memoranda, etc., and required person-to-person contacts to convey information. Progressively responsible experience which demonstrates the ability to provide technical guidance and assistance in the type of work or in comparable work of the position to be filled. Experience using computer and automation systems. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Must have 12 months specialized experience, education and training equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-10) in program or managerial experience. Experience developing and recommending policy; organizing and carrying out specific programs, evaluating and recommending changes in methods of operations. Experience in supervisory, staff or technical work which included study, analysis or evaluation leading to the development or improvement of managerial or administrative policies, practices and procedures. Experience preparing written communications and oral presentations. It is not necessary for applicants to possess the MOS/AFSC listed as compatible to the position in order to apply, however applicant must meet the qualifications for the position. It is applicant's responsibility to acquire a compatible MOS/AFSC within 1 year of appointment. Coordinate with your unit's training representative to determine whether or not you can qualify for a specific MOS/AFSC and/or receive training within the 1 year timeframe before accepting the position. Education Must qualify as a 3F171 within 24 months.
