Intern Onboard Ocean Operations

ROLE DESCRIPTION 
•    As an administrative intern in our Onboard Ocean Operations department, you will be surrounded by colleagues who will share their extensive expertise
•    You will play a critical role in the organization of the Viking Enrichment Program
•    The internship will start in February 2024; its duration is of six months

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
•    You will assist the team in planning and organizing the Onboard Lecture Program
•    You will document lecturers’ travel arrangements, communicate cruise information to them, and help answer requests
•    You will oversee the collection of lecturers’ educational content, leading to the creation of an enriching onboard program for guests

 

KEY QUALIFICATIONS
•    You are fluent in English, verbally and in writing
•    You are curious and eager to learn how a global cruise line is organized and how award-winning guest experiences come to life
•    You have a positive personality and like to work in a multi-cultural team
•    You are highly organized and detail-oriented
•    You have solid computer skills, especially in MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) 

 

EDUCATION
•    You are currently attending a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in the field of tourism/ hospitality/ administration/ business related topics

•    Interest in an eventual longer-term career in the cruise industry
•    An efficient work style, not only in completing tasks quickly but in the optimization of processes
