ROLE DESCRIPTION 
•    The role of the Junior Enrichment Manager is to support the process of planning the onboard lecture program, scheduling and booking speakers and monitoring the progress and success of the Viking Enrichment Program.
•    This role reports to the Senior Manager Enrichment and Entertainment.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
•    Planning Lecture Programs:
o    Collaborate with internal stakeholders to design engaging and informative, destination related lecture programs by itinerary for the Viking Ocean and Expedition fleet.
o    Assist in identifying relevant topics, themes, and speakers that align with Viking’s brand values.
o    Ensure the content is valuable and enriching for the guests.

 

•    Speaker Communication and Coordination:
o    Communicate cruise information to the speakers, answer speaker requests.
o    Assist in negotiating terms, availability, and logistics with speakers.
o    Coordinate schedules, travel arrangements, and accommodations for speakers.

 

•    Logistics Management:
o    Book cabins and flights for speakers, considering cost-effectiveness and convenience.
o    Ensure all necessary arrangements are in place for a smooth experience.

 

•    Quality Assurance:
o    Monitor the quality of lectures and presentations.
o    Gather feedback to improve future programs.
o    Support continuous assessment of the impact of enrichment activities.

 

•    Collaboration and Networking:
o    Foster relationships with industry experts, leaders, and influencers.
o    Explore partnerships for potential future speakers.
o    Support maintaining a library of speakers. 
o    Attend relevant conferences and events to stay updated on trends and opportunities.

 

KEY QUALIFICATIONS
•    Passion for culture and a key interest in learning.
•    Proved experience in project support and coordination. 
•    Previous experience in content management, preferably within the cruise or travel industry is an advantage.
•    Fluent English speaker with a second language. 
•    Driven, flexible, proactive person with a positive attitude and team spirit. 
•    Excellent administrative and organizational skills with attention to detail.
•    Excellent computer skills with high proficiency in Excel, Word and Powerpoint.

 

EDUCATION
•    Completed higher education degree in relevant field (History/Art History, Sociology/Culture, Communications, Journalism)
