ROLE DESCRIPTION
• The (Junior-) Payroll Manager is ultimately responsible for all Swiss payment activities for Viking River Cruises Nautical River. The (Junior-) Payroll Manager reports to the Director Payroll.
• This role is based in our Operational Headquarters in Basel, Switzerland. Please note that we can only accept applicants who are eligible to work in Switzerland or in possession of a valid work permit.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Supporting for the monthly payroll run
• Ensure master data and mutations
• Processing and account assignment of various invoices (OASI, tax, health insurance, etc.)
• Management of 3rd party payroll providers (pension, daily allowances)
• Responsible for the registration and deregistration of employees
• Completion of interim earnings, PDU1, bank statement and other forms upon request
• Update and organize systems to manage payroll information
• Supporting for payroll accounting and year end process
• Contact person for questions from employees, financial accounting and external partners (insurance companies)
• Responsible for opening tickets with our payroll support team as well as testing the implemented changes
• Support and lead various HR projects
• Support other team members (diverse tasks)
• Act as deputy for other (Junior-) Manager Payroll and Child Allowances
KEY QUALIFICATIONS
• Having a few years of professional experience in a similar role is advantageous. It’s also beneficial, especially if that experience extends to an international context.
• Fluency in German and English (spoken/written)
• SAP knowledge is a strong advantage
• very good handling of MS-Office especially Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, …)
• Independent, precise and punctual way of working
