ROLE DESCRIPTION 
•    The Regional Sourcing (Junior) Manager - Food and Beverage will work closely with the Regional F&B Category Lead to source regional food and beverage products for Viking’s fleet of River, Ocean, and Expedition ships. 
•    The main responsibilities include preparing tenders and RFx documents, calculating and forecasting spend and savings across categories, maintaining and updating standard items and prices in Viking’s purchasing system, and conducting ad-hoc analytics. The role also involves managing logistics and inventory controls.
•    The scope of the role includes sourcing regional food and beverage outside of Europe, with a strong focus on the US, Australia, Asia, and Latin America.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
•    Calculate and forecast spend and savings by category.
•    Maintain and update standard items and specifications in our system.
•    Prepare tender and RFx documents.
•    Support and participate in negotiations.
•    Identify and evaluate potential suppliers globally, with a focus on the US, Australia, Asia, and Latin America.
•    Resolve issues with suppliers (service level issues, quality discrepancies, out of stock, invoices, etc.).
•    Support the logistics team in delivery planning to the vessels.
•    Participate in industry events and exhibitions.
•    Maintain Viking Purchasing System (e.g., items, prices, logistics).
•    Update prices in our system on a periodic basis.
•    Conduct ad-hoc analytics related to purchasing and supply chain.
•    Prepare status updates for the Senior Management team.

 

KEY QUALIFICATIONS
•    Business fluent in English.
•    Relevant work experience, either through student jobs or internships.
•    Eager to build a career in Supply Chain Management.
•    Passionate about traveling and interested in the hospitality industry.
•    Self-starter with a can-do mindset.
•    Eager to learn and work in a team.
•    Hands-on and hard-working.
•    Strong analytical skills and ability to work in a dynamic environment.
•    Proficient in Excel and PowerPoint.
