The professional employee in this position provides advisory, consultative services and technical assistance to school districts, intermediate units (IU), and nonpublic schools in assigned regions. DESCRIPTION OF WORK As a Basic Education Associate 1, you will engage in monitoring and evaluating educational programs consistent with federal and state laws and regulations. Collaboration with other division and bureau staff as well as with federal and other state agencies is also a significant part of the professional responsibilities of this position. This position serves as the Title I Part D, Neglected and Delinquent Program Manager. The primary responsibilities are the allocation and administration of the funds to the eligible subgrantees once the Federal Title I, Part D, funds for the year are received from the U.S. Department of Education. Additional responsibilities include: + Proactively researching regulations of Title I, Part D, Subpart 1 & Subpart 2 + Updating the PDE website, technical guidance documents, and presentations, as applicable + Working closely with the Neglected and Delinquent Committee to provide guidance and technical assistance to LEAs and eligible institutions + Responsibility for the annual monitoring review process of Neglected and Delinquent Programs + Developing and providing training for State and National conferences and workshops for teachers, administrators, and other stakeholders involved in the development and implementation of Neglected and Delinquent programs and other program content as assigned Interested in learning more? Work Schedule and Additional Information: + Full-time employment. + Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 60-minute lunch. + Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time.
