Batch Maker II - 1st Shift

Summary of the Position:

The Batch Maker II measures and mixes ingredients repetitively for more than one process to a pre-set standard that in turn will create a high-quality product. The person in this position assists the supervisor with training Batch Makers I. The Batch Maker II cleans machines properly after production runs and maintains a clean work area.

Functions of the Position:

Measures and mixes ingredients repetitively for more than one process to a pre-set standard, striving to exceed productivity, quality, and safety standards (55% of time).Performs pre-operational checks (10% of time).Inspects product to ensure quality (10% of time).Dumps product into hopper (5% of time).Records production output on work order (5% of time).Stacks boxes onto pallets (5% of time).Cleans machine properly after runs, including allergen clean-ups, and maintains a clean work area (5% of time).Assists supervisor with training Batch Makers I (5% of time).

Continual Responsibilities:

Responsible for manufacturing, distributing, and consistently maintaining safe and quality food by following current good manufacturing practices, allergen/sanitation controls, food defense/food fraud, HACCP/FSMA, SQF, and regulatory requirements.Aware and accountable for maintaining and documenting preventative controls necessary to ensure food safety and quality.Responsible for immediately reporting all food safety and quality issues to management.Responsible for partnering with others, sharing knowledge, skills, and information within assigned team and across functional areas.Responsible for enhancing technical and functional competencies, as well as professional and leadership development.Responsible to comply with all safety policies and procedures established for health and workplace safety.Responsible to support safety culture by practicing safe work behaviors, reporting potential hazards, and conducting safety observations.
