Ford’s Ion Park organization is seeking a skilled, motivated individual to join our team as a Battery Fabrication Operations Engineer.
In this role, you will work actively in a laboratory/pilot line setting on a diverse, multi-functional team for the production of battery cells that meet the highest standards of quality and customer satisfaction in the New Energy Vehicles of tomorrow.
This will be a very hands-on opportunity with most time spent out on the plant floor.
You'll have…
Bachelor’s of Science degree in an Chemical, Electrical, Mechanical or related Engineering discipline.Motivated self-starter and creative problem solver.Willingness to be in a hands-on role and learn to operate cell manufacturing equipment.Ability to effectively collaborate.Even better, you may have…
1-2 years of Engineering experience. What you'll do…
Work collaboratively in a prototype lab with scientists and engineers to make battery cells from raw materials.Operate state-of-the-art production-level battery cell manufacturing equipment through all stages of cell manufacturing.Ensure inventory in-place to conduct prototype builds.Conduct quality inspections on parts you’ve just produced.Collaborate with the quality team to ensure full suite of quality checks are conducted and learnings are fed back to cell build team.Drive continuous improvement of operations and process.Support establishment of procedures and documentation of lessons learned.
