A bachelor’s or foreign equivalent degree in electrical engineering, electronics engineering, computer engineering, or a related field and 2 years of experience in the job offered or 2 years of experience developing electronic control modules and testing. Also requires 2 years of experience: performing Microprocessor based controller design and testing; and designing and validating communication circuits and protocols.
We are offering a salary of $85,428.60 - $181,606.08/yr.

What you’ll be able to do:
Battery Management Systems Hardware Engineer - positions offered by Ford Motor Company (Dearborn, Michigan). Position reports to Dearborn, MI office. Company offers flexible work from home schedule, but in-office work is required, and individual must live within commuting distance of stated office. Responsible for requirements and design of battery management systems in connection with Ford’s next generation of electrified vehicles. Participate in design reviews and worst-case circuit analyses in connection with our battery management systems. Perform root cause analysis and product revisions to resolve field issues per warranty or quality returns and will further monitor and drive robust root cause analysis from suppliers, including development of unique test methods to replicate failure modes. Perform design verification testing plans and execution and support next generation battery management system designs. Evaluate electrical system engineering alternatives for various attributes, including cost, weight, package, quality, benchmarking, geometry creation, and functional analysis in collaboration with various cross-functional organizations. Collaborate with other Ford engineers, update requirements based on system changes, and strive for continuous improvement.
