Job Title: Battery Technician

Job Description

Build prototype sample battery modules and packs and learn every element of battery production. Train the next wave of Battery Production Associates to future prototype samples and production level packs. Set up work instructions and quality points on the battery production process. Set up tiered board to measure Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, and People Development. Set up workstations and eliminate any safety or ergonomic issues. Work closely with the Production and Design team to identify, support root cause, and eliminate all throughput and quality-related issues. Be able to work in a team environment with a can-do attitude. Carefully follow instructions to build quality battery products.

ResponsibilitiesBuild prototype sample battery modules and packs.Learn every element of battery production.Train Battery Production Associates.Set up work instructions and quality points for battery production.Establish tiered boards for measuring Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, and People Development.Set up workstations and eliminate safety and ergonomic issues.Collaborate with Production and Design teams to resolve throughput and quality issues.Work in a team environment with a positive attitude.Follow instructions precisely to ensure quality in battery products.Essential SkillsExperience in creating and following instructions to build complex assemblies with precision.Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and act with complete integrity.Detail-oriented, resourceful, and diligent.Strong time management and organizational skills.Sound judgment and team problem-solving skills.Experience with large industrial equipment similar to CNC machines (CNC programming experience required but not part of the job).Engineering tech experience (automotive/EV).Additional Skills & QualificationsAbility to work closely with production and design teams.Experience in identifying and resolving quality and throughput issues.Capability to set up and maintain workstations safely and ergonomically.Work Environment

Work with large industrial equipment similar to CNC machines. The role requires precision and attention to detail. The environment is collaborative, requiring interaction with various teams. Safety and ergonomic considerations are a priority.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $32.00 - $32.00/hr.
