The Boeing Company is currently seeking a **Software Engineering Manager** to join the 777x Product Development team located in **Everett or Renton, WA** . This position will focus on supporting the Boeing Commercial Airlines (BCA) business organization. Help us define the future of software engineering in Boeing Commercial Airplanes! We are looking for strong leaders with a strong software background, interested in developing software for airborne systems, ground based tools and development environments. Selected team members will lead software engineering teams, working with our software enterprise organization and BCA functional engineering (Avionics, Electrical Sub, Propulsion) , to implement world class software development practices and tools across our products. This position is expected to be 100% onsite. To meet export control compliance requirements, a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.15 is required. “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee. **Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/ Experience):** + 3+ years of experience managing or leading teams in a formal or informal role + 2+ years of experience with SAE Standard ARP4754A, RTCA DO-178 or DO-254 **Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):** + Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science + 5+ years of experience with the Software Lifecycle from gathering requirements, testing to certification + 5+ years of experience with SAE Standard ARP4754A, RTCA DO-178 or DO-254 + 2+ years of experience interacting with aerospace regulators, such as the FAA and EASA **Typical Education/Experience:** Typical education and experience described in our standard level guides are aligned to the type and number of years of experience/education required to perform the job in industry.
