JOB TITLE:

Board Certified Behavior Analyst

QUALIFICATIONS:

Master’s degree in Special Education or related fieldCurrent and valid BCBA certification in good standing with the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB)Valid Texas Driver's license and safe driving record

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:

Knowledge of Applied Behavior Analysis, function analysis and assessment, behavior acquisition and reduction procedures, and adaptive life skillsAbility to work with a variety of clients in regard to age, functionality with minimal directionPossess strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Develop behavior plans and treatment plans for students as well as facilitate appropriate behavior strategies.Conduct functional behavior assessments (FBAs) and skills assessments using evidence-based tools.Maintain compliance with relevant ethical guidelines, laws, and regulations (e.g., BACB Code of Ethics).Provide ongoing support to direct support professionals, ABA implementers and other individuals in support roles for families.Assist in the development and implementation of assessment tools to conduct functional assessments and analysis when appropriate. Create/maintain a data collection system to establish baseline and programmatic efficacy for students; analyze data to implement best practices.Provide appropriate service to each student on the caseload.Establish open, frequent communication with parents and all related service staff.Make recommendations for the time needed to implement behavioral goals.Attend ARD meetings.Participate in appropriate staff meetings as requested.Establish and maintain a positive working atmosphere with staff in order to encourage a positive learning environment for students.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

Maintain emotional control under stress.Daily attendance and punctuality at work are essential functions of the job.Regular District-wide travel to multiple work locations as assigned; frequent standing, stooping, bending, reaching, pulling, pushing, heavy lifting, and moderate carrying. Ability to adjust and adapt to a multitude of situations in the school environmentStrong family engagement and communication skills
