Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Beamline Fabrication & Assembly Machinist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in machining, including experience with CNC lathes and CNC mills, with a focus on setup and operation. A commitment to precision, quality, and process improvement is essential.

Key Responsibilities:

Collaborate with engineers and designers to understand the purpose, functionality, and specifications of parts and assemblies. Provide feedback on designs to enhance manufacturability and efficiency.Interpret and work from detailed blueprints, process sheets, sketches, and CAD models to perform production tasks, including the cutting, shaping, and assembly of metal components.Operate and set up CNC lathes and CNC mills to produce parts to exacting specifications, ensuring consistency and adherence to tolerances.Conduct thorough inspections of machined parts using precision measuring tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers, gauges) to verify compliance with design specifications and tolerances.Identify, diagnose, and repair minor machine malfunctions, escalating complex issues when necessary.Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in compliance with company policies and safety standards.Continuously seek opportunities to improve machining processes, reduce waste, and enhance productivity.


​Qualifications:

Proven experience in a machining or manufacturing environment, with specific expertise in CNC lathes and CNC mills, including setup and operation.Proficient in reading and interpreting technical drawings, blueprints, and CAD models.Strong understanding of machining principles, tools, and materials, particularly metals used in high-precision applications.Familiarity with inspection techniques and tools to ensure dimensional accuracy and quality control.Basic mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot and perform minor repairs on machining equipment.Excellent communication and teamwork skills to collaborate effectively with engineers, designers, and production staff.Detail-oriented with a commitment to producing high-quality work.

Typical Education and Experience: High School Degree required

Minimum of 3 - 5 years experience

The base pay range for this position is

Min $68,000 - Max $102,000

Base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Siemens Healthineers offers a variety of health and wellness benefits including paid time off and holiday pay.
