What is the role of the Clinician at The Arc of Opportunity?
The BCBA Behavior Clinician is a part of a dynamic team who works with various colleagues and directly with individuals and families served by The Arc of Opportunity. Responsible for conducting behavior assessments, selecting supports, and developing and monitoring behavior support plans. The BCBA Behavior Clinician makes recommendations to the individuals and their teams regarding behavioral supports and strategies and provides training on these clinical programs.
What does the Clinician do?
+ Responsible for the development, implementation, and monitoring of behavior plans, medication treatment plans, and restrictive practices
+ Provides input and assist s in determining intake, transfer and discharge decisions regarding individuals utilizing program/services.
+ Provides training and support to staff, caregivers, and family members
+ Documents and maintains up-to-date individual case notes in the Electronic Health Record related to clinical goals and progress.
+ Assists in implementation of Positive Behavioral Supports framework and participates as an active PBS trainer for the agency.
+ Participates and presents information at Human Rights Committee, Clinical Meetings, and PBS Leadership meetings, and other committees/teams as required .
+ Maintains clinical support presence throughout community and home-based programs

Qualifications: A valid driver’s license, acceptable driving record, and CORI are required during employment with The Arc of Opportunity.
+ Master’s degree required
+ BCBA required . LICSW, LMHC, other related certifications/degrees considered.
+ Experience working with individuals with disabilities, autism, and brain injury preferred. Experience working with individuals with substance use and mental health disorders preferred
+ Ability to communicate with others effectively which convey clear direction, desired results and vision to staff, individuals and families served, government agencies, community partners, funding sources, and senior management.
+ Ability to work flexible hours in a variety of locations (group homes in the community, loud day programs, cubicle-style main office building)
+ Excellent organizational, interpersonal, communication skills, both written and verbal
+ Computer literacy required as well as experience with program related software including, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.
