BEHAVIORAL ANALYST

Job Summary

The Behavior Analyst serves as a consultant to program direct care staff to ensure the highest quality of care is being provided in order for the child to develop the most appropriate level of behavioral functioning.

Job Duties

Work collaboratively with other members of the child's treatment team to design and direct the implementation of a behavior modification intervention plan Ensure that a comprehensive behavioral assessment is completed and all intervention plans are proactive and individualized Develop behavioral data gathering instruments that contribute to rapid, valid, and reliable client and staff implementation Identify behavioral goals and intervention techniques, recommend non-aversive behavioral change methods to treatment team members and family and implement program using the least restrictive treatment modality Effectively monitor behavioral plan implementation regularly and communicate with all staff and professionals involved to ensure the effectiveness of all intervention techniques Assist in the management of aggressive clients as needed, using approved de-escalation and behavior management techniques Ensure the prompt and accurate completion of all necessary clinical, fiscal and program related forms. Assist the Clinical Supervisor in ensuring that all appropriate documentation is maintained Provide training and supervision to the Program Staff to ensure continuation of knowledge in the areas of crisis intervention and behavior modification and other related areas requiring increased skills

Qualifications

Master's degree in Human Services or related field required Minimum of two years experience in similar field required Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) preferred Prior experience in use of Applied Behavioral Analysis preferred
