Behavioral Health Care Specialist
Job Summary The Behavioral Health Care Specialist works with patients to assess and determine needs related to therapeutic interventions and appropriate follow up care, implements treatment plans, coordinates the treatment process and discharge planning, and facilitates groups related to maintaining wellness upon discharge. Also demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide services appropriate to the age and cultural diversity of the patients served. Qualifications + Education: 4 Year / Bachelors Degree in social work, psychology, human services or similar health related field; required. + Experience: Minimum of one year experience, preferred. + Licensure/Certification: + NC state approved curricula for restrictive interventions (facility specific) within 3 months of hire for Emergency Departments and Behavioral Health units, required. + Resuscitation Quality Improvement, required. + Notary Public, required. + Additional Skills Required: Good working knowledge of computers.
