Behavioral Health Case Manager Lead
The **Behavioral Case Manager Lead** is responsible for coordinating operations and workflows related to care management activities that support the Case Management Program. **Location:** Remote. The ideal candidates will reside in the following states: Texas, Iowa, Louisiana, New Jersey, West Virginia, Wisconsin. **How you will make an impact:** + Provides support to member facing BH Case Mgrs and other Care management associates. + Provides oversight of program referrals and works with referral sources to ensure accurate and timely case assignment. + Coordinates with cross functional teams to ensure team collaboration member touch points and organization vision of integration is achieved. + Facilitates weekly clinical rounds and may conduct quality audits. + Works with the manager to ensure individual team and overall operational metrics are achieved. + Supports various projects and initiatives as assigned. + Assists with process improvement activities for regulatory requirements. + Acts as departmental liaison to other areas of the business unit. + Primary support with training/mentoring new hires. + Participates in cross-functional teams projects and initiatives. + Serves as a member of the leadership team. **Minimum Requirements:** + Requires MA/MS in social work counseling or a related behavioral health field or a degree in nursing, and minimum of 5 years of clinical experience in social work counseling with broad range of experience with complex psychiatric and substance abuse or substance abuse disorder treatment; or any combination of education and experience which would provide an equivalent background. + Current active unrestricted license such as RN LCSW LMHC LICSW LPC (as allowed by applicable state laws) LMFT LMSW (as allowed by applicable state laws) or clinical Psychologist to practice as a health professional within the scope of licensure in applicable states or territory of the United States required. + Extensive experience in case management and telephonic and/or in person coaching with members with a broad range of complex psychiatric/substance abuse and/or medical disorders. + Managed care experience required. **Preferred Skills, Capabilities, and Experiences:** + Experience in health coaching and motivational interviewing techniques preferred. + Leadership Skills: Ability to inspire, motivate, and guide team members towards achieving goals. Proven experience in leading a team effectively. + Clinical Expertise: In-depth knowledge of case management practices, healthcare protocols, and procedures to provide robust guidance to team members. + Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact with clients, healthcare providers, and team members clearly and professionally. + Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to handle complex healthcare cases and find effective solutions. + Organizational Skills: Exemplary organizational and time management skills to oversee multiple cases and ensure timely delivery of services. + Technological Proficiency: Ability to utilize and train team members on various computer platforms and case management software. + Interpersonal Skills: High emotional intelligence to manage conflict, provide support, and build strong relationships with clients and team members. + Educational Background: Certified Case Manager (CCM) credentials are highly preferred. + Strategic Thinking: Ability to plan, implement, and manage programs and initiatives to improve case management processes and outcomes. + Adaptability: Flexibility to adapt to changing healthcare environments, regulations, and unexpected challenges. + Mentorship: Experience and ability to mentor and develop team members, fostering professional growth and improved performance. + Customer Service Orientation: A client-focused approach to understanding and meeting the needs of patients and their families effectively.
