Behavioral Health Clinician

The Behavioral Health Clinician assists with psychotherapy and social work services for patients and families dealing with mental health and substance use disorders, life stressors and crises, and stress-related physical symptoms. This role assists with the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of these conditions. Working under close supervision, this role supports conducting psychosocial assessments, implementing treatment plans, and organizing therapy sessions to manage the recovery of patients suffering from behavioral health issues.
Assists with conducting psychosocial assessments to better understand a patient's diagnosis, illness, or treatment through investigating emotional, social, and environmental factors.
Supports the preparation and implementation of treatment plans to help patients return to optimal functioning.
Maintains knowledge of and relationships with community health and social agencies to expand the behavioral health services available to patients via collaboration or referral.
Educates the patient and family on behavioral health treatment care processes and options to inspire confidence and continue recovery once discharged.
Helps with accurately and consistently documenting patient care and treatment response in medical records to monitor recovery process.
Advocates for patients during the provision of care to manage potential ethical concerns or other risks.
Performs other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION:Required: Master's in Social Work or related field

Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) or Licensed Clinical Social Worker Associate (LCSW-A)
BLS (CPR)-American Red Cross or AHA Healthcare Provider
