DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION:

Cahill 4 at Cambridge Hospital is a locked, 18-bed psychiatric unit serving adults with chronic mental illness and addiction. Social workers are key part of a multidisciplinary team helping adults, age 19 and up, with acute and chronic behavioral health conditions such as schizophrenia, bi-polar and affective disorders, personality disorders, adjustment disorder, and substance use. Staff employ a sensory approach to de-escalating patients and a treatment regimen that includes DBT/CBT group therapy. Our treatment focus is on assessment, stabilization, and aftercare planning. Social workers on the team take the lead in ensuring comprehensive discharge plans.

Summary:
Responsible for the evaluation and treatment of an assigned caseload of clients, providing a range of psychosocial care. Works at one or more service sites, under social work clinical supervision and administrative supervision at the service site or in the service line.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Current MA licensure as an Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), or Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker(LICSW) Work Experience: Minimum of clinical internship training or job experience in clinical human service work with population specific to service site.
All newly hired candidates must successfully complete a job specific physical agility test.
